She picked up the phone and started talking to someone. Her face slowly changed from bright to blue and showed the symbol of worry. She immediately called Prabhakar.
'Prabha, Can you come quickly?! It's Reshma. Come and talk to her', a loud voice came from the living room.
With the loud TV sound, after hearing the loud call out from Charu, Mr. Prabhkar stopped typing the keyboard and asked 'I didn't hear it, Who is on the phone again?'
'Its Reshma, Prabha. Come quick, she doesn't sound good', replied Chaaru. He immediately got up and went to get the phone.
'Hello Reshma Kutti, how are you ma ?'
'I am not ok dad' reply came back in a broken voice from the other end.
'Why do you sound so dull? Is there something going-on, you want to talk to me about ?', Prabhakar kindly asked with parental concern.
'Dad, I am really fedup with my life. Everyday I have to fight with my demon to get an answer why I am in this world. Is it God really exist and watching out for us?'
'Oh, Reshma don't cry my dear. Its all part and parcel of life. GOD is always with us', Prabhakar tried to console her.
'No Dad. Its getting harder and harder every day. If GOD is there, he should have helped me by now. I don't know whether I should be able to take it anymore Dad'. She couldn't hold it anymore and starts to cry out explaining her part of the story breaking out from her silence.
'Oh Reshma. I can feel your pain but I don't know how to make you feel better. Let me tell you a story. I know you are not in a good state but this might help you. Do you want hear me out ?', Prabhakar checked with her kind way.
'Yes, Dad go on. I will try to listen', Reshma replied controlling herself.
"One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the GOD.Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the GOD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path ofhis life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the verylowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the GOD about it: 'LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way.But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.'
The LORD replied: 'My son, my precious precious child,I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering,when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
'So my dear, GOD is always there in ALL WALKS of our LIFE. Like the story, he carries us during the tough times which we can't handle alone. We won't be able to take on some hard moments. By facing difficult times, he is making us strong and brave. You can do my baby. Pray for the GOD and try to do whatever you do best. I hope this make you feel better', Prabhakar asked with shallow voice.
'Dad, that was really an encouraging nice little story. I feeling little better now. Thank you for your ears. I hope to make it through. Talk you later Dad', Reshma just hang the phone..
Prabhakar felt much better and gone to continue his work.
